About us

NonWoTecc GmbH was founded with the financial support of High-Tech Gründerfond (HTGF) and Rheinland Venture Capital Fond (RVC) in February of 2007. The goal was to develop a newly designed vascular prosthesis with improved biocompatible and bio-stable properties. NonWoTecc GmbH was one of only seven companies which received a commitment for financial support from HTGF in 2006.

All of our company’s founders have vital experience in the medical field and have all been involved in the development of different innovative medical products. These experiences coupled with their overall background knowledge are a good foundation for a successful company in the field of medical technology.

The company is located at the BioCampus in Cologne Bocklemünd. Its centralized location in the Cologne area is easily accessible and surrounded by several universities, research facilities and well-known specialized clinics.

NonWoTecc GmbH was ISO 13485 qualified in 2008. This qualification shows that the company is fulfilling all the requirements necessary to develop and manufacture medical products according to regulated standards. Production at NonWoTecc GmbH is carried out in specially designated and certified clean rooms.

After only three years of development, the first clinical test series for a NonWoTecc product was started in spring of 2010.

The primary focus of the company is the manufacturing of vascular prostheses using new materials. These new vascular prostheses can be used to replace natural vessels, or as a vascular bypass especially for coronary vessels.

To build the vascular prosthesis a newly developed manufacturing method is used, which can also be employed for other medical products. Further applications of this technology are AV-shunts as well as the coating of implants, like stents or occluder.
